VIRRJA is a non profit association incorporated under the BC Society Act; currently the members are the RJ programs of Gold River, Nootka, Port Alberni, Alert Bay, Campbell River, Comox Valley (Courtenay), Arrowsmith (Parksville-Qualicum), Ladysmith, Nanaimo, Duncan, Salt Spring I., Pender I., City of Victoria, (Saanich) Peninsula Crossroads. The goals of the organization are to promote restorative justice throughout the island, speak out on behalf of the programs to regional, provincial and federal governments and officials, and to provide support and share best practices among the members, and to encourage other regional associations throughout British Columbia to form.
