Thank you for sharing your experience as an inmate and the work you've done to help heal yourself and your family and to move on in a positive direction with your life. At the William Head Coalition's recent presentation, 'Restorative Justice Behind Bars', the coalition's David Hough shared with us all some important reflections on the journey of forgiveness saying that "... it does not change the past but may enlarge the future... involves repentance and honesty and requires re-framing events and deepening understanding to reach resolution and closure... a compassionate gift you give to yourself...." It sounds as though the path for you is at times a lonely one but that you have a new purpose in your life. Your good wishes to our staff and volunteers are very much appreciated. To contact the WH Coalition directly, you can write to David at houghdd@telus.net With care, Geanine Robey, Past Program Coordinator, Victoria Restorative Justice Society

Hi Guys
My name is Chuck Watt, I was a inmate In William Head for 13 years and I am sorry I never got into you program while I was there. When I took the VOP program I had to write a letter to my Victims wife as part of the program and I never got the chance to put it in the mail. That was the hardest part of the program for me as it did made me realize the damage I had done to the victims family and it also made me think of the hurt I caused to my own family.
I have taken steps now to repair my family problems and now i have contact with my children and there off spring and have established a good relationship with them and also my sister and brother who live in Canada, I am sorry i could not do the same with the victims family as I have no contact with them.
I was deported to the UK and now live in Scotland. I am established here now and doing very well but I miss the personal contact and find it very lonely.
I do know a lot of you staff and you volunteers and I thought I would wish all the very best, keep up the good work, thank you
                                                     Chuck
